Do you have questions about asphalt?
Whether you need professional asphalt paving services for a commercial driveway, parking lot, or roadway, we’re here to make sure that none of your burning questions go unanswered.
Here are answers to some of the most common questions that we get asked about asphalt!
1. Why Should I Choose Asphalt Paving?
While there are a number of paving methods and materials to choose from, asphalt is one of the most reliable and affordable options. Asphalt costs less than concrete and can last for more than 25 years if properly maintained. Not to mention, blacktop is the industry standard for most commercial driveways, parking lots, and roadways.
2. Why Should I Choose Danny’s Asphalt Paving for my asphalt needs?
We are West Texas’s asphalt paving experts. With more than 30 years of professional asphalt paving experience, as well as multiple highly trained crews and in-house fleet of equipment, we have all of the resources needed to service projects of all shapes and sizes.
3. What Do You Do With Old Asphalt?
Unlike many asphalt paving contractors, we develop our very own high-quality asphalt mixes at our manufacturing plant. This means that we are able to recycle old asphalt materials — conserving resources and reducing greenhouse emissions as a result.
4. How Do I Maintain My Asphalt?
There are many types of maintenance that will maximize the life of your asphalt pavement. To start, we recommend sealcoating your surface 30 days after paving and every 2–3 years thereafter. You should also make a habit of inspecting your surface each week for dirt, debris, stains, and weeds. Finally, if you notice cracks, potholes, or blemishes of any kind, promptly notify your local asphalt paving contractor to schedule repairs.
5. How Long Does It Take Asphalt to Fully Cure?
While it can take up to a year for asphalt to fully cure, it is typically hard enough to use after 2–3 days and available for sealcoating after 30 days.
6. What Does Asphalt Look Like When It’s Finished?
When overlaying or extending an existing surface, you may notice a slight difference in color between sections. The sections should be smooth and level, however.
7. Can You Repair Existing Driveways?
In addition to new asphalt paving, we offer asphalt repair and maintenance services. Depending on the issue and the overall state of your driveway, we may recommend a simple repair solution (such as crack filling or patching) or a more comprehensive repair (such as an overlay or replacement).
8. Do You Offer a Warranty?
We stand by the quality of our products and workmanship. In the unlikely event that you encounter issues with your asphalt pavement, please contact us as soon as possible and we will make things right!
